OUR STORY

19 GOLD is a Taiwanese restaurant serving authentic MalaTang, Bubble Tea, Taiwanese Beer, and comforting Taiwanese street food in Seattle.

We began in 2016 as a small online catering business, offering Taiwanese MalaTang and Bubble Tea. The bold, nostalgic flavors quickly resonated within the Asian community. The owner, originally from Taichung, Taiwan, recreated the signature MalaTang from her hometown to bring a taste of home to Seattle.

The name “19 GOLD” comes from the heart of our recipe — our MalaTang broth, made with 19 carefully selected spices to create a rich, layered flavor unlike any other.

Thanks to our loyal customers, 19 GOLD doubled its revenue within just 8 months. With their encouragement, we opened our first brick-and-mortar location in Fremont, offering a cozy space to share our signature dishes with the community.

In May 2025, we proudly opened our second location in Bothell — 19 GOLD Malatang Bothell, a self-service MalaTang restaurant featuring over 80 fresh ingredients for customers to handpick and customize their perfect bowl. This location also offers a different selection of drinks and appetizers, adding a unique twist to the 19 GOLD experience.
